Greece has been among the first countries supporting Jean – Claude
Juncker’s candidacy for the Presidency of the European Commission.
In fact, my party, Nea Demokratia, has provided one of the two signatures proposing his candidacy.
I am optimistic about the final outcome and I am also optimistic that his appointment will solidify, will enhance the European orientation towards more growth. And more growth is absolutely necessary for the problem of unemployment in Europe and especially in my country.
